The Perlman Retreat Center is surrounded by 350 acres of woodlands and open prairies. The site contains a private lake and is bordered by Lake Beulah on its Southern side. Among the many recreational opportunities and gathering sites are:
Wake up every morning and see the sun rise off the shores of Lake Beulah. The sandy beach provides a beautiful backdrop to all sorts of water activities, including kayaking and canoeing.
Perlman’s Challenge Course offers unique adventure experiences designed to facilitate group and individual development. Successful completion of the elements of the Challenge Course instills participants with confidence and enthusiasm while providing lessons and realizations critical to success in life.
The Challenge Course consists of a high ropes course, low ropes course, 45 foot outdoor climbing wall, and a 25 foot indoor climbing wall – all of which present challenges that require groups and individuals to reach beyond their comfort zone to accomplish the goal.
The High Ropes Course is complete with many objectives, challenges and safety measures. This is a popular area with many features including a zip line and a trapeze line. Using harnesses, helmets, cables, ropes and wooden beams strung 240 feet high among poles, teams explore risk-taking, trust and coaching. Participants walk across cable bridges, negotiate giant ladders or ride zip lines through the trees as they overcome personal fears and develop new self confidence.
Each moment is rich with discoveries, whether you’re participating, simply encouraging other or on belay. Our facility is safety inspected and certified every year.
